This painting reflects one of the many talents of fictitious football manager, Sir Harriet Lea. She's the manager of Hairyart Lea FC which is a football team that recruits players solely on how brilliant their hairstyle is. Not only is she a world famous football manager, but she also has many hobbies. Some of these hobbies include, writing novels, plays, photography and fashion. Another hobby Sir Lea has is painting. She loves her team's strip and wanted to honour it in a decadent, saturated painting. Her secret lover, who shall not be named, appears on her desk in her office in a photo frame. Sir Harriet Lea likes to make secret references to this lover. In the painting, the fictitious brand, 'Fred and Serg' belongs to her lover. That being the focal point of the piece is another lustful ode to her fella.

I was inspired to do this painting as no part of my 'Hairyart Lea FC' project was too serious. I wanted to make a painting that looked like a perfume advert and was undeniably sexy. However, the shirt in the painting is a humorous parody of English football strips and doesn't warrant a Calvin Klein-esque photoshoot.
